Is your cell phone locked to Cingular, NEXTEL, T-mobile or Sprint carrier network? Cell phone companies when you buy a phone from your provider will "lock" your phone, so it can only be used on their wireless network. Not very good when you want to switch providers, but maintain the same phone.
You may download software to generate the unlocking code. Software is available on some websites for free and some pay websites that also offer support if things go wrong.
The coolest thind about Bird cells is that you can even unlock them free. Search for a free software unlock calculator on the interned and you will definetly find a programm that will generate a free unlock code for you.
Be careful, entering a wrong code 5 times will mean that you will only be able to unlock the phone with a data cable.
